Before I started Design Scapes Inc. back in 2020, I spent a lot of time working on installs that came from other designers’ plans. And honestly, a lot of those designs just didn’t fit the real conditions on site. Sometimes the soil wasn’t right, or there was a slope, or I’d run into something unexpected underground, and it would throw the whole project off. So when I launched Design Scapes, I knew I wanted to handle the design myself from the very beginning. That way, I could create plans that actually work with what’s really there, instead of just hoping everything lines up later.
With over 15 years of hands-on design-build experience, I’ve developed a system that really keeps things moving and makes sure you’re always in the loop. It just makes the whole process smoother, and in the end, you get an outdoor space you’ll actually want to spend time in, not just take pictures of.
