Our Process
Step 1: Phone Consultation
The process begins with a phone consultation with our owner and award-winning landscape designer Sina Kamran. This is the chance to delve into your pool or spa objectives, visions and your intended budget.
Step 2: Initial Quote
After Sina has had a chance to understand your vision, the Design Scapes team will generate an initial quote. We offer transparent pricing so you’re fully aware of all costs upfront.
Step 3: Property Assessment
To gain a better understanding of the obstacles your property may or may not have, we conduct a property assessment. This allows our team to gain a comprehensive understanding of what the project requires. With construction projects like pools and spas, the existing terrain and structures on your property must be taken into account.
Step 4: Design Layout and Revisions
In this step, the design phase begins. The Design Scapes team will review layouts, patterns, material options and colors. We’ll go through an extensive revision session with you to be sure we’re designing your vision accurately. This phase typically takes 1 to 5 months depending on how quickly decisions are made.
Step 5: Finalizing the Design and Creating a Firm Quote
Once we’ve decided on a design, we’ll provide you with a detailed and firm quote for the entire job. We pride ourselves on creating honest and accurate estimates with no hidden fees or surprise costs. Once approved, we’ll move into scheduling the installation. The typical lead time from quote to installation is 3 to 5 weeks.
Step 6: Scheduling
At Design Scapes Inc. we’re sensitive to the fact that we’re working on a place you call home. During the installation phase, we’re keeping the area clean and as peaceful as possible. We want your home to spend the least amount of time looking like a construction site. It’s for this reason that we schedule our installations around the delivery of materials. The delivery of materials depends on a few factors and will be a driving force behind the entire schedule.
You’ll be informed of our schedule up front. We’ll provide you with detailed information on how the job is going to play out.
Step 7: Waiting for Delivery of Materials
This waiting period is determined by what materials we’ve decided on together during the design phase. Some unique materials may take longer to be delivered.
Step 8: Installation
Once the materials have been delivered, we’ll begin the on-site labor. Our supervisors will be on site ensuring we’re moving directly towards your vision for the space.
Step 9: Final Touches
We keep our workspace clean throughout the entire process, but the final cleanup involves the removal of extra materials, the dismantling of our tools, and polishing the surfaces we’ve installed. This step leaves your space looking as best as possible.
Step 10: Final Inspection
The final step includes a walkthrough with you detailing the work we’ve completed and giving you tips for how to take care of it going forward. Even after this walkthrough, we’re happy to return to the space for any minor adjustments you may need.
